Hotjar helps you understand how visitors interact with your Vvveb website through heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and user feedback tools.
Integrating Hotjar into Vvveb is simple - you only need to paste your tracking script using the Insert Footer Header Scripts plugin.

Below is the complete setup process.

Create or Sign In to Your Hotjar Account

You need a Hotjar site profile before installing the tracking code.

  • Go to https://www.hotjar.com

  • Click Get Started or Sign In

  • Create a new site when prompted (enter your Vvveb website URL)

Copy Your Hotjar Tracking Code

Hotjar provides a JavaScript snippet that must be added to your site.

  • After adding your site, Hotjar shows a Tracking Code

  • Click Copy to copy the full script

  • Keep it ready for the next step

This plugin allows you to inject tracking scripts into your Vvveb site.

Admin → Plugins

  • Find Insert Footer Header Scripts

  • Click Activate

Paste the Hotjar Script Into Vvveb

Adding the script to the header ensures Hotjar loads on every page.

Admin → Plugins → Insert Footer Header Scripts → Header Scripts

  • Open the plugin settings

  • Paste the Hotjar tracking code into Header Scripts

  • Click Save

Verify Hotjar Is Tracking

Hotjar must detect your site before heatmaps and recordings begin.

  • Return to your Hotjar dashboard

  • Open your website in a new tab

  • Refresh the page

  • Hotjar should show a green Tracking Active indicator

Your Vvveb Site Is Now Connected to Hotjar

Once Hotjar is active, you can start using:

  • Session recordings
